THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. 00Q044 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 97-14. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 5045 and the size standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for a quantity of Adaptec equipment as specified herein- no equipment substitutions are accepted. Items are as follows: Item 0001 -- Adaptec 1480A Slim SCSI PC Card, 133 each; Item 0002 -- Adaptec AHA-1542 ISA SCSI Kit, 133 each; Item 0003 -- Adaptec AHA-2930 PCI SCSI Host Adapter Kit, 133 each; Item 0004 -- Adaptec AHA-2940UW PCI Ultra Wide SCSI Adapter, 133 each. Delivery is requested to be staggered as follows: First quantity of 33, 2 weeks ARO or sooner; second lot of 25, for receipt by 3/17/00; third lot of 25, for receipt by 4/28/00; fourth lot of 25, for receipt by 6/23/00; and fifth lot of 25, for receipt by 8/4/00. Shipment is FOB Destination (all freight included in the offered price) to the U.S. Secret Service Financial Crimes Division, 950 H Street, NW, Suite 5300, Washington, DC 20001.
