Belcher, Contracting Officer, (205) 933-4492 Provide professional services necessary for the design of various projects that are multi-discipline engineering in nature, i.e. architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical (HVAC & plumbing), for the VA Medical Center located in Birmingham, AL. Services shall include complete design of various construction and/or maintenance and repair projects as well as optional related services, which might include but may not limited to: investigatory work, computer aided drafting (CADD), verification of existing as-built drawings, design and development of construction drawings and specifications, construction time and cost estimates, construction management and other construction period of services duties (i.e. site visits). The intent is to award two open ended A/E indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity master contracts, which will cover a period of one year from the date of award (base year period) with the government having the option to extend for two additional one-year options. Each respondents firm must be located within a 250 mile radius of Birmingham, AL. The Rand McNalley, HHG Mileage Guide No. 17 will be used to verify questionable mileage. All interested firms must submit current Standard Form 254 and 255, in accordance with note number 24, to the Contracting Officer at the address listed above, by close of business (4:30 pm, CST) March 16, 2000.
