This is an amendment to the original CBD announcement posted in CBDNet 11 Feb 2000 and printed in the CBD on 15 Feb 2000. The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Sage Solutions, for training and consultant services related to the DoDEA School to Careers Special Emphasis Program. Under this requirement the trainer facilitator must (i) have previous experience working with career exploration programs for the Department of Defense, (ii) be able to authoritatively address questions regarding best practices in school to career programs and their applicability to the DoDEA schools, and (iii) possess expert ability in the areas of Career development and program evaluation to improve quality of career related instructional services to students; educational accountability; leadership in school reform and school to career implementation; reflective listening and consensus building; structuring data-driven dialogue and productive group learning and planning; and facilitating shared decision-making and problem-solving.
