X -- LEASE OR RENTAL OF FACILITIES SOL TIRNO-00-Q-A1A70 DUE 021700 POC Sharlene Hagans, Contract Specialist, (202) 283-1139 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitations; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number TIRNO-00-Q-A1A70 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The award will be made to one offeror who fully meets the requirements for providing 150 sleeping rooms and conference facilities to include general sessions, breakout rooms, executive rooms and miscellaneous electrical and mechanical services as specified below for the Internal Revenue Service Mid-Year Business Meeting. The meeting will be held May 21-26, 2000, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Hotels shall provide a quotation for the following contract line item numbers (CLIN): CLIN 001: one (1) general session room to accommodate up to 450 attendees; CLIN 002: fourteen (14) breakout rooms to accommodate up to 35 attendees; CLIN 003: one (1) executive meeting room for high-level adjunct meetings; CLIN 004: one (1) fax line; CLIN 005: ten (10) telephone lines for local and long distance telephone calls and CLIN 006: miscellaneous electrical and mechanical services to include electrical outlets for xerox machines and video equipment and sevices for hanging banners. The conference facilities must be available for conference participants 24-hours a day. The hotel must be within a five block radius of a metro stop or must provide shuttle service to/from metro stop. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquistion. Evaluation/award will be made to that offeror whose quote meets the specifications listed above and is the most advantageous price to the government. Offerors shall include a fully executed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with their offer. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Per FAR 12.603(b) the SF 1449 is not used.
