The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for HAZMAT Services for the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, VA. This solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR 6.203 as a 100% small business set-aside. A twelve-month base period and four twelve-month option periods are contemplated. This requirement will be solicited using commercial items practices in accordance with FAR Part 12. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be cancelled and no contract will be awarded. A pre-solicitation conference (from 0900 to 1600) is anticipated to be held on 1 March 2000 in the Sand Dollar Room, Pier 26, Bldg. X-360, Naval Station, Norfolk, VA.
