This announcement serves as notice that on or about 8 March 2000, the Strategic and Nuclear Deterrence Command and Control System Program Office, Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, anticipates release of Request for Proposal F19628-00-R-0019 for a new contract for the administration and operation of the Logistics Support Facility. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, JAYCOR, Inc., of San Diego, CA, under the authority of FAR 6.302. A Determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The scope of contract effort will be as follows: (1) As administrator/operator, the Contractor shall provide core logistics support and modification packages for the USSPACECOM and USSTRATCOM Mobile Consolidated Command Center (MCCC) platforms. (2) The Contractor shall also provide support to other fixed, mobile, and transportable systems, facilities, and electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems as directed by the Contracting Officer. The period of performance will be seven months, with an option to extend performance for five months. Interested firms shall indicate whether they are a large business, small business, very small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, or HUBZone small business. Additionally, respondants shall indicate whether they are U.S. or foreign owned firms. Responses to this Notice must be forwarded to Capt.
