United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has
developed a program of Technical Assistance Program Seminars which will
provide training to employers and unions on the laws enforced by the
EEOC. The EEOC Houston District Office will conduct a two-day seminar
in Houston, Texas with an anticipated attendance between 225 to 325
participants. The contractor shall provide a full service training
facility to include: training rooms, meals, audio visual and training
aid support. The seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m., with registration and
a continental breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. each
day. Requirements include the following: One large room for all 225-325
participants for plenary sessions, with classroom seating for up to 325
persons between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This room shall include a table
with three chairs, situated at the front of the room equipped with
podium and microphone on a riser, as well as two hand-held cordless
microphones for the large room. Thereshall be sufficient space at the
back of the room to place additional chairs, if needed. From 10:30 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., a total of three rooms for breakout sessions, each with
classroom style seating to comfortably accommodate 115-160 persons.
Each room should be equipped with a table at the front and podium with
microphone and one hand-held cordless microphone. Each room must have
a suitable sound system so all participants may hear and ask questions
of the speakers. Registration table(s) with eight chairs positioned
outside the large room for seminar registration purposes which will
occur between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. To be
served between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (i.e., a selection of
croissants, Danish pastries, muffins, and freshly brewed coffee,
decaffeinated coffee, tea and assorted fruit juices). MORNING BREAK
(including at a minimum a refresher of coffee service). To be served
between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Please provide a recommended list of
beverages and their related prices. LUNCH. A buffet luncheon to be
served between 11:30 a.m and 1:00 p.m., provided in a room large enough
to accommodate up to 325 participants at round tables (not the room
used for general session). Luncheon should include appropriate
condiments and served with coffee, decaffeinated coffee and tea (iced
or hot). Please provide various recommended lunch menus, with prices
per person. AFTERNOON BREAK. To be served between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15
p.m., beverages and ice water. Please provide recommended list of
beverages and their related prices. AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT: (4) Podium
w/microphones; (5) Hand-held cordless microphones; (4) Flip chart
easels w/paper and markers; (3) Overhead projectors w/screens; (3) TV
monitors with VCR and (1) Movable cart w/electrical connections and
cords to accommodate EEOC's LCD projector and laptop computer which
EEOC plans to use. There should be adequate parking spaces for all
participants. All facitilies, including rest rooms and audio-visual
equipment, must be fully accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Accommodations for disabled individuals may include, but are not
necessarily limited to, wheelchair ramps and accessible parking spaces,
elevators, sound systems and aisles. DATES: May 22 to May 26, 2000.
