This includes supply and installation of 3 open-sided wood kiosk kits, grading and/or surfacing of parking/viewing areas, installation of highway and interpretive signs, supply and installation of 3 trail bridges, and landscaping. Typical work includes site clearing, earthwork, concrete foundation, supply and installation of a wood kiosk, hauling and installation of landscape and barrier rocks, construction of wood landscape tie structures, rock lined viewing areas, supply and installation of treated wood trail bridges, supply and installation of posts and frames for Government furnished signs. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. This project is located on U.S. Highway 395 from Coso Junction Rest Area (40 miles south of Lone Pine, CA) to Round Valley Turnout (10 miles north of Bishop, CA). Elevations range from 3,000 to 4,200 feet above sea level. Work is expected to start the week of May 2, 2000. Solicitation packages will be ready approximately March 6, 2000.
