COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 23,2000 PSA#2542Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition Operations Group, Code D-7810,
Denver Federal Center, PO Box 25007, Denver CO 80225 66 -- A SEISMIC SYSTEM TO INTERFACE WITH EXISTING RECLAMATION SYSTEM
SOL 00SQ810027 DUE 022800 POC Ann Capron by fax (303)445-2429 WEB:
http://ideasec.er.usgs.gov, http://www.usbr.gov/aamsden. E-MAIL: Ann
Capron, ACapron@do.usbr.gov. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation)
has a requirement for a 48-Channel Floating Point Seismic Recording
System to Interface with existing Geometrics Model R-48 S/N's 75308 &
75313 configured with Lantastic v.8 network software. The proposed
system is unique in that it incorporates the following features: 1.
Ability to install a controller card into the seismograph, so as to
electrically and logically connect the proposed seismic system with an
existing Reclamation seismic system which was manufactured by the same
factory source. 2. Compatibility with existing Reclamation seismic
systems at the system architecture and binary file level. 3.
Plug-compatible with existing Reclamation seismic and tomography data
acquisition hardware. 4. Built-in real time correlator for use with
frequency controlled (swept) sources. 5. Built-in liquid crystal
display which is 100% compatible with VGA-graphics standards. 6.
Built-in analysis procedures to enable the geophysicist to perform
Quality Assurance data checks on-site, including the ability to print
high resolution paper monitor records of seismic data or QA data
checks. 7. Selectable sample interval from 0.032 2.0 milliseconds
(msec) and selectable record length from 1K 24K samples per channel. 8.
Ability to view pre-trigger data, in order to determine background
noise conditions prior to the onset of seismic energy at the receivers.
9. Ability to store data in an on-board mass storage device such as a
magnetic tape, magnetic disk, or optical disk. 10. Ability to filter
data during acquisition with low cut, high cut, and notch filters. 11.
Ability to stack discrete shot records so as to allow signal
enhancement, including opposite polarity stack for use in enhancing
shear wave energy. 12. Channel-freeze during acquisition to protect
from accidental stacking or clearing of data from memory. 13. 12-Volt
DC power input, current drain not more than 6 amps (except during
printing). 14. Seismic data output in standard SEG-2 format on MS-DOS
computer readable media. Also, Reclamation would like a trade-in
allowance on a Geometrics Model R-48 s/n 75091, manufactured in 1993.
