National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Office of Space
Science is releasing a NASA Research Announcement (NRA-00-0SS-03)
entitled Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) Science Instrument
Technology Development (SITD). This NRA solicits proposal for
supporting basic research, analysis, and technology whose objectives
are to advance and mature technologies that enable or enhance potential
NGST science instruments, and to support engineering or astrophysical
modeling studies and simulations that advance understanding of
instrument requirements for NGST. An electronically submitted Notice of
Intent to propose is requested for all proposals, and electronic
submission of a combined Cover Page/Proposal Summary is required.
Participation is open to all categories of organizations, NASA Centers,
and other Government agencies. Upon its release date, this Research
Announcement will be available electronically from the World Wide Web
by selecting "Research Opportunities" at http://spacescience.nasa.gov
