D -- RFI FOR COTS SOFTWARE THAT GENERATES REPORTS DUE 030700 POC Justina Hamberg, Contracting Officer This RFI is for COTS software and is issued to request information on the availability of a report writer that meets the following characteristics: 1. Interact with PeopleSoft Federal Applications software; 2. Have the capability for client/server and web-based reporting to individuals; 3. Have security using a PIN or another unique identifier to protect personal financial information; 4. Be able to be formatted to meet requirements of the Federal W-2 form; 5. Be able to place biweekly payroll and leave and earnings information into a standard format of a standard leave and earnings statement; 6. Has capability to expand for individual report writing; 7. Has flexible report formatting and presentation with graphics; 8. Can access any database, data mart, or data warehouse; 9. Has ability to save data to familiar formats, MS Excel, etc.; 10. Has ability to easily determine the appropriate PeopleSoft data elements for reports; 11. Has capability of allowing IT personnel to identify the report needed and generate those written reports timely; and 12. Has high performing ability in a scalable environment. Only firms that currently have product(s) possessing the above characteristics are invited to respond to this RFI. Responses should include: 1. Product literature that addresses the above characteristics and any other important technical aspect; 2. Price list or schedule for license and maintenance fees for all platforms supported; 3. Standard software license agreement; and 4. Points of contact (including name, phone number, and fax number) that are knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the product(s) and the license agreement. This RFI is not a Request for Proposal, and nothing shall be construed herein or through the RFI process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as a result of this RFI. In addition, firms responding to this RFI shall bear all risk and expense of any resources used to provide the requested information.
