Officer 303 969-2755 The U.S. Department of Interior (DOI), National
Park Service is seeking a contractor to perform general oversight
responsibilities of the new visitor transportation service at Zion
National Park in southern Utah. The NPS has awarded a transit service
contract for operations and maintenance activities of the new
transportation service. The transit service will be operated from May
26 to October 31, 2000. The contractor must have the technical
expertise to efficiently manage the transit contract; ensure compliance
with all contract specifications, terms and conditions; and implement
a quality assurance program for the transportation service. The
responsibilities of the oversight service contract will include but is
not limited to: performance of quality assurance duties for the
transit service; review of contractor submitted reports, invoices,
personnel records and plans of operation; review of the contractor's
quality control program implementation; monitoring performance
standards for compliance; spot checking maintenance records; oversight
of operations; and reporting recommendations to the NPS. The
contractor would be expected to assign one-person, full-time to this
contract and the person would be expected work at Zion National Park.
