Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes In accordance with FAR 52.215-3, (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of obtaining a cost estimate for the following: A. Requirement: Provide aircraft support at Westchester County Airport, Westchester, NY. Support will consist of pre-positioned equipment and manpower to operate. 1. The following equipment will be pre-positioned in a secure, government provided maintenance hangar: 2 Light carts 1 C-9 tow bar 1 Tug capable of towing a C-9 1 Ground power unit (GPU) (-86 or -60) 1 Air start cart (MA-1A or combined with -60 GPU) 1 Lav truck 1 Potable water truck 1 B-4 Stand Before 1 Apr and after 15 Nov the following will also be required: 1 Dump truck with plow on front 1 Deice truck capable of reaching C-9 tail of 28' (fluid will be provided by airport) 2. Between 12 and 15 hours notification will be given prior to plane landing. 3. Approximately 2 flights per month 4. Planes will be C-9 or C-20 5.
