The work to be performed under these specifications consists of removal and replacement of unit substations at Buildings 1235, 1236, and 1236A, West Araea of the Langley Research Center. Bldg. 1236 -- Replace 750 kVA, 2.4kV/480V unit substation; replace 300 kVA, 2.4.kV/208-120V unit substation; Bldg. 1236A -- Replace 1000 kVA, 2.4 kV/480V unit substation; Bldg. 1235 -- Replace secondary switchgear associated with the 225 kVA, 2.4/208-120V substation; replace secondary switchgear associated with the 500 kVA, 2.4 kV/480-277V substation. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 300 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1629 and $17.M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about March 4, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about April 3, 2000.
