This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for telecommunications hardware and maintenance prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DCA200-00-T-5016 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-15. The acquisition is a 100% set aside for small business. Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 4813. The small business size standard is 1500 employees. DITCO/DTS22 intends to acquie the following Cisco hardware and maintenance. Following are the Line Items: 001 Cisco 7507 Chassis and AC Power Supply P/N CHAS-7507=; QTY 002 Each. Line Item 002 Cisco 2 Port Fast Ethernet/ISL 100BASETX PA P/N PA-2FEISL-TX; QTY 002 Each. Line Item 005 Cisco SmartNet Enhanced Maintenance P/N CON-SNTE-7507 QTY 002 Each. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, are applicable to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition. The evaluation factor for this acquisition will be low overall responsible offeror providing a responsive offer. Offerors are to complete and submit with their offer a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. The following clauses are part of the RFQ. Year 2000 Compliance (a) All informatin technology provided under, or in support of this contract by the contractor and all subcontractors shall be Year 2000 compliant. "Year 2000 compliant" means, with respect to information technology, that the information technology processes date/time data (including, but not limited to calculating, comparing and sequencing) from, into and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year caluclations, to the extent that other information technology, used in conjunction with the information technology being acquired properly exchanges date/time data with it. (b) To ensure Year 2000 compliance, the contractor shall, at a minimum, test a representative sampling of the information technology, or same type of information technology, that will be provided under the contract. Testing will be accomplished and documented in accordance with generally accepted commercial standards/practices. If requested, the contractor shall provide the Government with a copy of their random sampling testing documentation sufficient to provide reasonalbe assurance of the year 2000 compliance, at no additional cost to the Government.
