The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to issue Request for Proposals (RFP) No. N66001-00-R-5034 for the award of multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) cost-plus- fixed-fee (CPFF) contracts to provide technical and engineering services that are essential to SPAWARSYSCEN's performance of its responsibilities as the In-Service Engineering Agent and Cognizant Field Activity for a wide variety of complex, multi-use electronic systems and equipment. These systems include Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, Guided Missile Weapon Systems, Airspace Systems and Combat Weapon Systems. Services will include the design, development, test and evaluation, installation, life cycle support, logistics support and maintenance of air traffic control, range and navigation systems and equipment used in support of air, land and sea operations. This procurement is a total small business set-aside and eligible 8(a) firmsare especially encouraged to submit proposals. It is anticipated that the RFP will result in award of between three and five IDIQ/CPFF contracts and the Government desires to issue one or more awards to 8(a) firms. The performance period is five years (1 base year and 4 one-year options) and the estimated level of effort is 209,000 hours per year or a total of 1,045,000 for five years.
