The Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is seeking information and comments form the Facilities Management Industry on the AETC A-76 Cost Comparison acquisitions. In particular, we are gathering this information on utilization of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Definition: These standards are policies, procedures, standards and regulations promulgated by the CAS Board pursuant to Public Law 100-679. Please refer to FAR Part 30: Cost Accounting Standards Administration. Responding to the following questions will be extremely beneficial in selecting the proper business approach for subject acquisition. On-going A-76 Cost Comparisons studies are currently underway for Maxwell AFB AL and Lackland AFB TX. 1. Are you currently CAS compliant? 2. Why are you not CAS compliant? 3. Are you currently participating (submitting proposals) as prime or subcontractor in the Maxwell AFB and Lackland AFB acquisitions? If not, did CAS compliance prevent you from submitting a proposal? 4.
