Currency (OCC) is a bureau of the Department of Treasury headquartered
in Washington, DC with offices located throughout the United States.
The OCC employs approximately 3,000 employees and is responsible for
promoting and assuring the safety and soundness of the country's
national banking system. The OCC is seeking a contractor to provide a
professional instructor to develop and deliver a Basic Consumer Banking
School for pre-commissioned bank examiners. The school will prepare OCC
bank examiners to perform a community bank consumer compliance
examination. The training school will cover consumer compliance
regulations and the scope of a consumer compliance bank examination
through lecture, case studies, exercises, and other interactive
methods. The contractor will be responsible for developing and
providing all training materials for the schools. The school dates and
locations are as follows: June 5-9, 2000 in Chicago, IL; July 17-21 in
New York, NY; and October 23-27, 2000 in Atlanta, GA. The OCC plans to
utilize the General Services Administration's Management,
Organization, and Business Improvement Services (MOBIS) contract to
fulfill this training requirement. Any contractor who can provide this
type of training and who has a MOBIS contract covering SIN 874-1 may
respond to this announcement. Interested contractors should submit a
copy of their schedule contract along with three business references to
the address below. References must include company name, address, point
of contract, and phone number. References should be able to
confirm/demonstrate contractor's capabilities. This synopsis does not
constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by
the OCC. Any request for a copy of the solicitation will not be
answered. The OCC does not intend to award a contract/order on the
basis of this notice and will not pay for any information received as
the result of this synopsis. Contractors who meet the above minimum
qualifications may submit the requested INFORMATION to the OCC no later
than March 8, 2000. All information must be submitted in writing to the
