The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) Patuxent River intends to award a contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Tactical Defense Systems, PO Box 64525, St. Paul, MN 55164-0525 to upgrade the ADA-language based mission software in the S-3B Surveillance System Upgrade (SSU) aircraft through further development of the Precision Targeting Mission Program (PTMP). PTMP development will utilize existing S-3B ADA language mission software development tools and environment and will consist of software interface development for SSU aircraft peripheral navigation, communications, display, radar and electro-optical systems. PTMP will be developed as a sub-program to the ADA language tactical mission program. It is in the Government's best interest to award sole-source to Lockheed Martin Corporation and is done so under FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
