survey to locate potential sources of supply for the Housing Assembly
(NSN: 5855-01-263-7669 and part number A3140790) and the Objective Lens
Assembly (NSN: 5855-01-246-6803 and part number A3140850) for the
AN/PVS-7A Night Vision Goggles. The government will be buying these
parts using their respective drawings. The government intends to
purchase Objective Lens and Housing Assemblies using an indefinite
quantity/indefinite delivery contract over a five year period with an
estimated maximum contract quantity of 3,000 each over the five year
period. The government will guarantee a minimum quantity of 420
Objective Lens Assemblies and 470 Housing Assemblies. The contractor
shall be able to deliver 40 units/month for the Objective Lens Assembly
and 50 units/month for the Housing Assembly. If First Article Testing
is required, the contractor shall start deliveries 150 days after the
order is placed. Without First Article Testing, the contractor shall
deliver 90 days after the order is placed. The AN/PVS-7A provides
improved night vision using available light from the night sky. The
goggle enables the user to perform normal tasks such as reading,
walking, driving on the ground, or surveillance during times of
darkness. The Housing Assembly and Objective Lens Assembly are two
major subassemblies for the AN/PVS-7A. Any interested sources must send
appropriate technical information that will help the government
evaluate your capability to perform the required effort, to include,
but not be limited to, past performance for these or similar items
(including government contract numbers, where applicable), schedule
availability and cost information (rough orders of magnitude or
budgetary estimates), NLT 22 March 2000, to CECOM IEW/S Directorate,
ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-N-II (Susan Weir), Bldg. 1201, Ft. Monmouth, NJ
07703. Contractors shall also include information on any open DOD
contractual vehicles for the subject equipment, to include GSA
