Squadron at Randolph AFB, TX, intents to award a firm fixed-price
Purchase Order pursuant to FAR 13.5 for the purchase of Audio Visual
Equip. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for
Quotation (RFQ), Solicitation F416191-99T0470. The solicitation
document, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97 -- 15. This acquisition is 100%
set aside for small business concerns, utilizing the Size Standard in
FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3651, and the Business
Size Standard is 500 employees. The government intends to award a Firm
Fixed price Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures
(SAP). SPECIFICATION OF SYSTEM: CLIN 0001: AV Equipment 1 Assembly The
contractor shall provide a high quality Audio Visual Equipment System
for the Conference Room in Bldg 575 at Randolph AFB. Must be Y2K
compliant, which meets or exceeds the requirements outlined below. All
items are _brand name or equal_ per the salient characteristics
identified (if applicable). Item # 1. Epson 7250 Video data Projector,
1 ea: Must be 1024X768 minimum resolution, have at least 1 computer
input _ two computer inputs desirable, At least 1 video input, SVHS
input desirable, 800 lumens or higher, Have rear screen capability _
front and inverted capability desirable as well, Zoom lens, Adjustable
focus for image sharpness, distance to screen is approximately 9 ft 6
inches, Screen size is 10 ft long x 7 ft high, Image size needs to
fill up as much screen as possible (Special lens may be needed),
Universal mount needed for projector, Mount kit for projector Chief #
RPA7300 Ceiling plate Chief CMJ450. Item # 2. Van San Lecturer Series
Lectern, 1 ea: 35_ wide plain veneer with reading light -- must be
portable, with locking casters and built in shelf, Must be able to
accommodate a wireless microphone. Item # 3. Monovision DM6952S TV
ready 32_ Video data monitors, 4 ea: 1024X 768, Must be able to connect
with VCR and computer, Built in speakers for multisync video playback.
Item # 4. Chief JMS2660H Monitor mounts, 4 ea: Need 2 wall and 2
ceiling mounted swivel brackets for optimal movement. Item # 5. Inline
Part # 1N3268-2 Computer, 1 ea: VGA Direct Amplitude w/direct wall
plates, Must have at least 1 in and 8 out signal capability, Will be
used to send computer and video signals to rear screen projector and 4
video monitors or send images separately to each monitor. Items # 6.
TOA 2NL Wireless Lavalier microphone, 1 ea: with separate on/off
switch. Items # 7. TOA 2NH Handheld wireless microphones, 2 ea: with
separate on/off switch, Prefer omnidirectional dynamic microphones.
Item # 8. Audio Technica AT857QMA Lectern, 1 ea: Gooseneck mounted
wireless microphone, Must have on/off switch and be capable of volume
adjustment, Must be able to connect into conference sound system, Mount
equal to TecNec HLD 9/N-13/AD11BE. Item # 9. TOA Room audio
combiner/separator, 1 ea: Will be used to play audio through all
conference room speakers, Need to have capability of splitting sound
into 4 separate rooms or deadening mics if needed. Item # 10. TOA 2NL
Audio amplifier, 4 ea: for microphones, Must be compatible with TOA 2NL
or equal, described above. Item # 11. Alesis A231 Audio Graphic
Equalizer, 1 ea: used to improve tonal quality and even out sound
throughout the room. Item # 12. TOA A-906MK2 Auto mixer, 1 ea: for
microphones, Must be able to switch microphones on/off separately from
the control room. Item # 13. Mid Atlantic Equipment rack, 1 ea: Need
rack with adjustable shelves, easy rear access to connect equipment,
with locking caster rollers (optional), Must be large enough to
accommodate all equipment requirements. Item # 14. Krumer M- 5AR/TN
Video Distribution Amp, 1 ea: Item # 15. Talley Recording light
indicator, 1ea: Used to inform audience that conference is being
recorded, Mount inconspicuously in conference room. Item # 16. Cannon
VC-C3 or Sony EVI-D30 Video cameras, 2 ea: Wall or ceiling mountable
color cameras with appropriate mounting brackets, Used for recording
sessions in conference room, Remotely operated with pan, zoom and tilt,
to be mounted on each side of conference room. Item # 17. Panasonic
CT-1386VY Part # 9139-02 Operator_s monitor, 1 ea: Used for viewing
conference sessions, Connect to video camera so operator can see what
the camera sees, Must have speakers and color monitor, Must be
compatible with item 16, Must be able to switch from one video camera
to another using a 2 input monitor or A/B switch box, Must have audio
and video output to record to VCR system. Item # 18. AMX viewpoint
express VPX-CP Remote Control System, 1 ea: All equipment must be able
to be controlled remotely without operator_s assistance, System also
must allow for operator control when necessary, Will need to be
programmed accordingly. Item # 19. AMX programming remote, 1 ea: or
equal. Item # 20. UPS backup power supply, 1 ea. Item #21. Indicator,
1 ea: with visual and audible signal for operator to switch slides. FOB
destination is required by the Government. FOB point is AFCQMI/SSL
