(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation N00104-00-Q-Q244 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. (iv) This is an unrestricted acquisition and is not set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7373 with a size standard of $18,000,000. (v) NAVICP intends to procure commercially available Microsoft Premier Support services for the Naval Sea Systems Command located in Arlington, VA. (vi) Premier support services include 140 hours of Technical Account Manager (TAM) support, two days of TAM on-site support, 50 incidents of telephone technical support, a 12 month subscription of TechNet Plus and MSDN Universal, a single shared group ID for incident submission, access to a single shared Service Desk and four named Government contact IDs.. (vii) Performance period is 1 March 2000 through 30 September 2000. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quote.
