The U.S. Department of Energy will seek notices of interest for the subject work from Small Business Concerns until the close of business on 3/10/2000. A synopsis of the work requirement for this job is as follows: Provide the U.S. Department of Energy with trash and debris removal services for the Department of Energy's Forrestal (Washington D.C.) and Germantown, Maryland facilities. Debris includes plaster, wallboard, brick, stone, ceramic tile, old flourescent tubes, wooden pallets, office waste, etc. Removal will be on an on-call and scheduled basis. The required equipment that must be provided are two self contained compactors, one 34 cubic yards the other 36 cubic yards, with Dog House doors and one compactor will be provided by the DOE. Also required by the contractor are several open top, front end, stationary and covered roll off containers. The duration of the contract period, consists of a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods. NOTE THE DOE IS ONLY LOOKING FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS UNDER SIC CODE 4212, WHICH IS FOR FIRMS WITH AVERAGE ANNUAL RECEIPTS OF LESS THAN $18.5 MILLION OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS.
