The quantity of material represents dredging the channel and turning basin to the appropriate project depth for each area plus an allowable 1' overdepth. The dredged material will be placed in either the nearshore disposal area or the Ocean Dredge Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), depending on the quality of the material. Material identified with less than 20% fines will be placed into the ODMDS. The material to be dredged is expected to contain both nearshore quality and non-beach quality. Equipment needed would include but not limited to, clamshell dredge, bottom dump scows, tugs, and attendant plant. Performance period is 75 calendar days. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
