sisasc@ars.usda.gov. The U.S. National Arboretum has a requirement for
the renovation of rooms G15 and G16 known as the mounting rooms
located in the Administration building at 3501 New York Avenue, NE,
Washington, D.C. Room G15 is an L shaped room approximately 22' long by
14' wide. Room G-16 is approximately 49' long by 14' wide. The facility
may contain asbestos materials through the building and all offerors
are to be made aware of this possibility. The renovation consists of
the following: (1) removal and disposal of cove base and vinyl asbestos
floor tile to an approved landfill per D.C. regulations. Preparation of
floor for new floor tile and installation of new tile throughout the
two rooms. (2) Removal of communication cables and plastic wire mold
from walls. (3) Scrape, patch and prepare all areas of Room G15 and G16
for painting. Paint both rooms. (4) Install new suspended ceiling
system in Room G15 and G16 providing access to laboratory plumbing
above ceiling. (5) Remove air supply grates from Rooms G15 and G16.
Lower existing motion sensor above entrance door to Room G16. (6)
Install new flourescent lighting fixtures in Rooms G15 and G16 using
existing circuits and switching. Dispose of all discarded lamps and
ballasts at an approved landfill in accordance with DC regulations. The
SIC Code for this request is 1542 -- General Contractors --
Nonresidential Buildings. Other than Industrial Buildings and
Warehouses. This will be a 100% small business set-aside with a
Firm-Fixed Price Contract award. The job is to be performed in

at a minimum, price, past performance and experience. This
requirements is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
Offerors will be required to submit a technical and cost proposal as
stated in the solicitation. The government reserves the right to
evaluate proposals and award without discussions. The solicitation will
be available on or about February 25, 20090 with a due date of March
30, 2000. The dates as stated are estimated and will be finalized in
the Request for Quotation. Only one site visit is scheduled on March
21, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. Administration Building, U.S. National
Arboretum. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
considered by the Agency. Offerors desiring a copy of the solicitation
