The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with the Boeing to establish expanded repair capability for the T45 Jet Pipe P/N AX66644. Boeing is required to design and fabricate support equipment (SE)to allow capability to replace Sections 2/3 together as a set and Sections 3 and 5 at NASK. Boeing is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform this task. The Government does not own the specifications or drawings for the T45 Engine Jet Pipe. Firms that recognize the required task are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be considered by the Govermnent in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government whether to open the requirement to competition will be based on the responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
