This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ)36-00-07 and offers are to be received by 4:30 p.m. on 3/14/00. Offers shall be mailed to address shown in this announcement or faxed to Chris Banks at (803)725-1807. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. If you are a contractor under GSA contract, please inform me of the contract number and whether or not you are quoting the contract price. When submitting your offer, give me a price with trade-in and one without trade-in. We have two 1994 Kawasaki Mules Model 2510 that may be traded in. The following is a description of item(s) including minimum requirements. Three Kawasaki Model 2510 Mule Diesel with standard equipment or equal with a 4 stroke diesel, minimum 900 cc to a max 975 cc, 12 volt electrical system engine. A 4-wheel drive, automatic transmission, 2-speed differential, high/low range drive train. Independent, 4-wheel braking system, leaf springs on rear suspension. GVWR 1500 to 1700 lbs. Ground clearance of 6 to 7 inches when loaded. Electrical system with a minimum of a 50 amp. alternator and 12 volt heavy duty battery. Lighting shall consist of 2 sealed beam front headlamps, 2 rear red braking and running lights, and power point on dash for hand held light. All lights shall have brush protection. Mules shall have a 13 to 14.5 cu. ft. hydraulic dump/cargo bed. Towing capacity of 1100 to 1300 lbs. with a 2 inch ball hitch. Front mounted winch with minimum capacity of 1500 lbs. Audible back up alarm/beeper. Removable canvas/cordura rain cover. All terrain package which includes CV joint guards, heavy duty suspension, radiator kit and engine skid plate. Each mule shall have a owner's parts and repair manual included with it. Delivery shall be made to the Savannah River Institute, 1-mile inside Aiken barricade, Bldg. 760-15G on the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. Savannah River Site is a restricted access Government facility and all persons entering must be U.S. citizens. Equipment shall be serviced and ready for operation upon delivery. A delivery schedule is not specified; therefore, when submitting your offer please provide your delivery information, i.e. 30 days after receipt of order. Delivery schedule may be considered when making the award decision for this solicitation. Specification sheets shall be submitted with your offer that provides sufficient information for the Government to determine if the mule offered meets all Government requirements.
