Destination to Texarkana, TX. The Government intends to issue an
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract
with five consecutive ordering periods. Required delivery with First
Article Testing is 47 each 250 DACA, and 40 each per month until
completion. The first article test report is due 188 DACA. Required
delivery without first article test is 47 each 200 DACA and 40 each per
month until completion. This procurement requires prequalification. All
responsible business may submit a proposal, which shall be considered
by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition
is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible
Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the
Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and
open competition. Approved sources are: MRC Bearings, 402 Chandler
Street, Jamestown, NY 14702-0280; Timken Aerospace, 336 Mechanic
Street, Lebanon, NH 03766-2627; FAG Bearings, LTD, 801 Ontario Street,
Stratford N5A 6T2 Canada; General Electric Company, Aircraft Engine
Business Group, 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01910-2690. Only the
approved source, who has successfully completed the required
engineering test will be considered for award of this flight safety
part. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award
and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms
are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future
solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the
