The work will consist of modifications to the existing 100 ton capacity intake gantry crane at Little Goose Lock and Dam. The work will include the following: Replacement of electrical distribution and control equipment, Removal of DC motors and motor controls for hoist, gantry and trolley functions, Design, fabrication, factory testing, installing and programming of complete flux vector control variable-frequency drives and matched motors for the crane functions, Modifications to on-board gantry crane power distribution to allow feed of all on-board loads from either powerhouse supply or an on-board source, Replacement of on-board power source with a packaged diesel generator unit and fuel system, Replacement of the existing exposed load indicating system cables, Replacement of trolley festoon system, Replacement of the downstream control stand (auxiliary cab) with new weatherproof stand-up type control stand cab The estimated cost range for this job is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
