Project AJXF 96-1516 consists of providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations necessary for the addition and renovation to Fire Station #1, Building 1287, including but not limited to: Site work; remove and/or rebuild existing exterior brick masonry partitions; remove interior masonry, plaster, wallboard partitions, remove existing doors, frames and hardware; remove existing windows, frames and hardware; remove existing ceiling, wall and floor finishes; remove and replace portions of the HVAC system with new, including new cooling VAV roof-top-unit type air conditioning unit, ductwork, insulation, VAV control terminal units with hot water heating coils, diffusers, return air grills, and direct digital control system; provide ventilation system for toilet room, kitchen, pantry, locker room and laundry rooms; provide new lighting systems, new fire alarm devices, replace smoke and heat detectors; provide new electrical circuits and connects; provide new panelboard and feeder; new circuit breakers and circuits, provide miscellaneous cutting, patching, and repairs to existing building finishes; provide landscaping; testing and balancing of all new equipment; asbestos abatement; provide new locker/laundry room addition and new day room addition; provide new ceiling, wall and floor finishes; new doors, hardware, frames, windows and framing systems; provide new 5-ply built-up roofing system and insulation; new plumbing work and incidental related work. Total contract performance period is 355 calendar days. The proposed procurement is being issued as an unrestricted acquisition. Award will be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. Offer guarantee required.
