Materials to be picked up and processed into a homogeneous state in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW)/Solicitation. Assays of samples will be used to determine the amount of precious metals contained in the melts/lots. Settlement will be for an equivilant amount of refined precious metals due to the government. Contractor's pay is based on the actual net weight processed. An estimated 3.3 million pounds (per year) to be processed at approximately 78 sites nationwide. Period of performance is an 18 month base period with two possible 12 month each option periods. Award will be made to the firm who offers the Best Value to the Government with past performance being the most important factor and price considered less significant, but significant.
