Office of Information & Technology (OIT) Software Development Division
(SDD) is interested in information from 8a companies which can provide
the training support services required to assist the Training Branch in
developing and providing superior, cost effective, and results-oriented
training to users of Customs mainframe and LAN-based computer systems.
USCS intends to award a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to an 8a firm.
The contractor should be able to demonstrate the capability to perform
the following services: * Conduct needs assessment to determine the
training requirements of Customs personnel; * Develop training
solutions that employ state of the art technologies including, but not
limited to, the use of multimedia software and WEB-based training
methodologies; * Develop measurement tools for the evaluation of the
effectiveness of the training provided; * Provide support to design,
develop, and implement an automated approach for online training
support and documentation, consistent with the technologies used in
both the mainframe and Windows/LAN environments; * Design, develop, and
implement user help and courseware embedded within the computer
applications; * Provide support in the development of state-of-the-art
computer-based training, consistent with the Customs automated
environment; * Design & conduct both onsite and offsite instructor-led
training for the hardware and software used by Customs, when this
format is identified as the most appropriate methodology for training
delivery; * Provide support for the maintenance of and enhancements to
mainframe training systems which mirror the production environments of
the USCS. This notice is not a request for proposal and does not commit
the USCS to procure any training support services at this time.
