708-4531. The Government National Mortgage Association, Ginnie Mae, a
wholly-owned Government corporation within the Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD), provides a secondary market for government
insured/guaranteed loans through its Mortgage-Backed Securities
programs. Ginnie Mae is soliciting for a contractor to serve as a
master subservicer for its defaulted manufactured housing portfolio.
The successful offeror shall perform the complete range of services
expected of a Ginnie Mae manufactured housing issuer/servicer. Should
a proposer be selected who is not currently approved in the Ginnie Mae
Manufactured Housing Program, that proposer will be granted approval
pending submission and approval of required forms and information
normally requested of an applicant into the program. A three-year,
single award is contemplated with 2 one-year options to renew. RFP
GNMA-00-OF-01 will be issued on or about March 20, 2000. SIC 7389
applies. All qualified firms regardless of size may request a copy of
this solicitation. Brief written proposals limited to resumes of key
personnel and past performance of the firm, and consisting of no more
than 30 pages, will be due 45 days after issuance of the solicitation.
An oral presentation addressing the evaluation factors for award will
be requested of those firms still remaining in the competition after
the written submission is evaluated. Interested firms may submit their
requests for RFP GNMA-00-OF-01 in writing or by facsimile
(202-708-3239). Telephonic requests will not be honored. HUD posts all
required notices of its contracting opportunities on its Internet Home
Page Contracting Opportunities site as indicated at the end of this
notice. Potential offerors who download copies of the solicitation from
HUD's Home Page will NOT automatically receive any amendments to the
solicitation. Offerors are advised to check frequently to see if HUD
has issued any amendments to the solicitation obtained. All amendments
will be posted on, and may be downloaded from, HUD's Home Page
