Contractor shall be approved and hold authorization in their own name by the Interstate Commerce Commission or, if engaged in intrastate transportation, a certificate issued by the appropriate state regulatory body will be required. In those instances where certain states recognize leasing and/or agency agreements to perform drayage services as an alternative to intrastate operating authority, the Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing such evidence of compliance with State law. The area of performance for this contract will be the Louisiana Parishes of Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Grant, Jefferson Davis, La Salle, Natchitoches, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Sabine, St Landry, Vernon, West Feliciana, and Winn, the Texas Counties of Angelina, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby. Contract will be a 12-month base period commencing on or about 1 Jul 00 through 30 Jun 01 with three 12-month option periods. See Note 1.
