The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking a Non-Developmental Item (NDI)/commercial technology solution to their Complementary Low Altitude Weapon System (CLAWS) requirement. The CLAWS Program is predicated upon a near-term solution that will produce a rapidly deployable, high fire power, all-weather, stand-off air defense system capable of defeating threat aircraft, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles beyond the range and capability of currently fielded Marine air defense systems. This procurement will be negotiated on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis for the Proof of Concept/Production-Representative Phase with a total of four (4) systems to be delivered within 24 months of contract award. An unpriced Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production option for a minimum of 25 systems will be negotiated FFP prior to exercise of the option. MARCORSYSCOM will hold a pre-solicitation conference on 10 March 2000 at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The CLAWS Request For Proposal (RFP) and associated documents will be released on 21 March 2000. The agency will allow a 60 day response time for receipt of proposals.
