Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane) is conducting Market Research to determine the availability of a 40mm programmable air bursting training round in a non-developmental item (NDI) state that will function in the SACO Defense Industries 40mm Advanced Lightweight Grenade Launcher (ALGL). The training round must provide realistic training for users in a field environment. The linked programmable air bursting training ammunition shall be packaged in PA120 cans to provide for realistic weapon loading. The training round must comply with U.S. environmental standards, and the U.S. Navy's Insensitive Munitions Program requirements. Respondents shall provide a detailed description of the training round design including fuzing, energetics and flight profile data. You proposal should include evidence that the system is a current NDI product and should also include video footage of the system in operation. Provide the POC below with product information such as specifications, test results, catalogs, pricing and availability by the closing date of this request, 27 March 2000.
