USZA25-00-R-0001 Procurement has been transferred to the United States
Special Operations Command, Attn: SOAL-KB, 7701 Tampa Point Blvd.,
MacDill AFB, FL 33621. The RFP number is changed to USZA22-00-R-0007,
23 -- - COMBAT SUPPORT VEHICLE (CSV). POC Valerie Romanchek/Dorothy

of the solicitation are expected to be available by 10 March 00. The
receipt for proposals will be 24 April 00. A brief recap. This project
is an R & D effort. The Government has a requirement to develop a low
profile, general purpose utility type all terrain vehicle identified
as the COMBAT SUPPORT VEHICLE (CSV). Sources are sought to design and
develop a CSV prototype. General performance characteristics of the CSV
include; Payload capability of 3,000 lb.; towing capability of 4,000
lb.; forward speed of 40mph, diesel powered,automatic transmission.
Dimensions: overall Est. 0 L 156", W 56", H 36"; Payload platform of 84
X 55"; 24 volt electrical system; Operational range in excess of 250
miles; Ground clearance of 10. The CSV must be capable of performing
the following mission: As a Cargo Hauler and Tow Tractor. The mission
of the CSV is to haul heavy bulk cargo over ruble laden terrain in an
urban environment and to haul heavy cargo cross-country over irregular
terrain. Phase I is for a Research and Development effort. Phase II is
for the production effort. The objective of this solicitation is to
obtain, through source selection, the best value engineering design
through fielding for development and production. Contact award is
anticipated for 1 May 00 for the R & D Phase. The Government may award
multiple contracts for the purpose of developing a CSV prototype as a
result of this solicitation. After testing, the Government anticipates
a limited production quantity contract. Oral presentations of proposals
are anticipated. A Firm-Fixed-Price type contract is contemplated. The
Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the
Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for Contract awards and payments.
USSOCOM intends to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) on the U.S.
Army Communications Electronics Command Interagency Interactive
Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) web-site on or about 10 March 00.
Proposals shall be due 45 days from the date that solicitation is
issued. IBOP allows electronic transmittal of offerors' proposals back
to USSOCOM. All parties interested in doing business with USSOCOM are
invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP
at (http://abop.monmouth.army.mil/socom.nsf). Registration for a user
ID and password will only be necessary when you are submitting the
proposals to USSOCOM through the IBOP. Only parties with no email
capability may request a copy of the RFP by submitting a written
request to the address above. It is the offeror's responsibility to
monitor the IBOP site for release of solicitation and any subsequent
