The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract on a sole source basis to Sentel Corporation, 225 Reinekers Lane, Suite 500, Alexandria, VA 22314 for research, development and testing services of remote sensors, identifiers and networks designed to counter Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) threats. This work shall include the provision of services to facilitate the development, application, and dissemination of basic research, data, and state-of-the-art technology as it applies to NBC threat detection, identification, warning, and defenses. This contract will be a follow-on to contract N00178-97-D-3035 which was awarded as an 8(a) set aside in May 1997 with Sentel, who is the only known contractor performing the specific type of research and development required in the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical detection currently being developed and tested for the past five years.
