Programming support of GSTC legacy systems and processes is also required. Oracle database administration services may be required. Services from this contract will suppport the development of a new system compatible with the Forest Service/IBM corporate environment. The new system will be known as ADMS (Advanced Data Management System). It will incorporate current and evolving technology to support the production of a variety of map products, to include digital and web-based maps as well as GSTC's traditional hardcopy Primary Base Series (PBS) and Secondary Base Series (SBS) maps. ADMS will also include data editing, data conversion, data transfer, data clearinghouse, and data warehouse clients. ADMS development will integrate COTS software wherever practical. Software maintenance of some legacy processes (as found in the production of digital ortho quads (DOQs), digital elevation models (DEMs), cadastral data, PBS maps and SBS maps) is also required. The contractor will work as a development team member and participate in meetings and discussions relating to the planning, design, and development of ADMS. ADMS will incorporate Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) technology. The contractor will be expected to incorporate OOAD methodology into programming services tasks.
