The 21st Contracting Squadron at Peterson AFB, CO (PAFB) is conducting a market survey to determine the existence of potential sources to perform Air Show Services. This requirement is for a concessionaire contractor to produce a 1-day DoD Air Show, scheduled for 9 Sep 00 at PAFB. Events management activities include, but are not limited to, soliciting and managing attractions, concessions, marketing, advertising, VIP hospitality, programs, and commercial sponsorship (PAFB reserves the right to approve all participants and advertising). The successful concessionaire contractor will be encouraged to solicit local (Colorado Springs) business participation to the maximum extent possible. The general public will be invited along with selected dignitaries. The event is free and will include aerial demonstrations by the USAF Thunderbirds and the US Army Golden Knights. Other planned events include an F-15 demonstration team, a B-2 fly-by, and an F-14 and Harrier demonstration. PAFB is co-located on the City of Colorado Springs airport property and the successful concessionaire contractor will need to coordinate extensively with the City/Airport regarding air show operations.
