ALLIANCE 200 Opportunities for SMALL BUSINESS, Training Conference and Trade Show March 23 & 24, 2000 Doubletree Hotel, Seattle Airport Small businesses, including small disadvantaged and women-owned businesses have the opportunity to meet and network with federal, state and local agencies, prime contractors and major purchasers at the "Alliance 2000" training conference that will take place at the Doubletree Hotel, Seattle Airport, March 23 and 24, 2000. Fourteen State and Federal (Department of Defense and Civilian) Agencies have combined to provide training and purchasing opportunities for small business owners. This annual cooperative effort is designed to provide small businesses with the tools and opportunities to do business with a multitude of government agencies and large purchasers. The significance of this event is that Federal Agencies and State agencies have come together to provide one single, "multi-agency" event. The lead agency this year is the US Navy. The two-day format includes a trade-show with 130 exhibiting companies and Agencies, and seminars and workshop training designed for small business. Owners and managers will learn tips and procedures often required when selling to the Government and large business entities. The "Cyber Garden" will be available, for individuals to view a variety of web sites relating to purchasing opportunities, and receive individual hands-on assistance about doing business electronically.
