Furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials necessary to provide tree trimming, pruning, wound repair, fertilizing and pest control/fungus service in accordance with the requirements specified in the Request for Quotations. Operations to be performed shall include collection and disposal of all litter, trash and debris associated with and by the trimming, repair/treatment and other miscellaneous services as required by the contract. Operations will be performed at the U.S. Naval Home, 1800 Beach Drive, Gulfport, MS which includes a 36 acre complex withing the confines of four fences. Contractor must be a licensed Tree Surgery Service and be supervised by a Certified Arborist/Pest Control Applicator. This is in part an improvement program, established to maintain the trees in a safe, healthy park like condition. Requests for Quotations will be available on or before March 13, 2000. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., March 22, 2000. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference. A site visit will be conducted following the conference and prospective bidders will have the opportunity to see the facility and an extensive tree inventory (estimated 375 pages) located at the Plant Management Facility. Although a Site Visit is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that all prospective bidders participate in this conference. The successful bidder will be resonsible for performing in accordance with the contract whether or not he/she attended the conference. All quotations are due in Resource Management Service, Building 5 not later than Close of Business, April 3, 2000.
