It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church (GMCHC) HIV/AIDS Ministry, 610 Rhode Island Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20002 to develop an AHEAD 2000 Information Resource Center in collaboration with the NLM, that will enhance its current program and make electronic and printed health information available to program staff, their clients, and community-based organizations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Duties include: 1. Providing workstations for online access to NLM databases as well as other Federally recommended Web sites. 2. Serving as a distribution site for print material from NLM and other Federally recommended agencies and organizations. 3. Serving as a training site for church ministries, community-based organizations, and schools throughout the Washington, DC area. Training will include Grant-writing skills, database access, and search and retrieval skills. 4. Establishing a relationship with at least one local library and school to promote training on the use of electronic media to access health information and encourage use of public venues to access HIV/AIDS information. 5. Enhancing the GMCHC website to include information about the AHEAD 2000 Information Resource Center and the NLM/GMCHC partnership. 6.
