E-MAIL: Contact us via e-mail, crotheim@lc.usbr.gov. The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of refurbishing (10) gear boxes for the 50' x 50' regulating gate hoists for Parker Dam. The gear boxes being refurbished are required for operation of the regulating gate hoists at Parker Dam which is located about 20 miles south of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Each 50' x 50' spillway regulating hoist has a left hand gear box and a right hand gear box. Principal features of the work include loading and transporting the gear boxes from the Parker Dam Warehouse to the Contractor's facilities and return upon completion of the work, manufacture new worm gears, inspecting, testing, and refurbishing worms, worm bearings and shafts, manufacturing and replacing worms, worm bearings and shafts if required, removing existing paint from the gear boxes and disposing and applying new coats of paint. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is March 13, 2000. The estimated date for receipt of quotations is April 13, 2000. This will be an unrestricted, full and open competition. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3462 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
