to provide healthcare resources in accordance with Public Law 104-262
and 38 U.S.C. 8153. Contractor agrees to provide a Board Certified
Physician in Family Practice or Internal Medicine, at the VA Roseburg
Healthcare System, Roseburg OR. This is an emergency need and the
Physician must be able to start on March 27,2000. If candidate is not
available to start on March 27, 2000 offeror will be determined
non-responsive, if after award it is determined candidate cannot start
on March 27, 2000 contract shall be terminated for cause and award
shall be made to next lowest offer. The Physician will see an average
of nine (9) patients per day in the clinic. The Physician will be
assigned to Ambulatory Care Services from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five
days per week. The Physician will have responsibility for but not
limited to treating new outpatients, completion of H&P exams, ordering
appropriate diagnostic tests, scheduling follow-up appointments,
admitting patients and providing follow-up care while those patients
are in an inpatient status, this may average 2-3 patient per day. The
Physician may be asked to see and treat unassigned patients and
inpatients when other team providers are on leave. This assignment is
done on rotation with other team providers. Other duties will include
but not limited to monitoring stress tests, dip-thalls and
cardioversions. The Physician must: a. Have an unrestricted license in
a US state, territory or US commonwealth; b. Speak English
proficiently; c. Provide evidence of demonstrated current clinical
competence to perform appropriate outpatient care services; d. Be a US
citizen; e. Be Board Certified; f. Have a professional degree and
education applicable to medical staff members, e.g., MD, DO; g. Provide
evidence of current professional liability insurance; h. Evidence of
current privileges (if applicable); i. Names of most current
employer(s) and two peer reference contacts; j. Current copy of ACLS
and BLS certifications; k. Be a team player; l. Must be computer
literate, as VA Roseburg Healthcare System utilizes a computerized
patient medical record. Solicitation packages will be available after
