The procurement is for engineering support for the F-14 Weapons System Support Activity (WSSA) in Operational Flight Program (OFP) origination and F-14A/B upgrade program. This is a follow-on effort to contract N68936-90-R-0050 whose ordering period ends 31 August 2000. Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the F-14 aircraft. The scope of work includes engineering services leading to the development and modification of F-14A/B/D aircraft systems providing new capabilities and continuation of the F-14A/B upgrade program to increase the airframes survivability. The proposed contact is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity with the tasks to be ordered via individual task orders. Estimated period of performance is 01 September 2000 for three years (no option) withan estimated total level of effort of 140,000 hours. It is anticipated the issue date for RFP N68936-00-R-0050 will be on or about 27 March 2000 with a closing date 30 days after date of issue. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
