George, 202/283-1471 -- Contracting Officer This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoncement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number TIRNO-00-Q-15A06 is issued as a Request for Quotation, (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The award will be made to one offeror who fully meets the requirements for providing 600 sleeping rooms, conference facilities to include general sessions, breakout rooms, executive rooms, audio visual equipment as specified below for the Internal Revenue Services' Collection Group Managers Conference. Conference to be held March 7 -- 9, 2000. Hotels shall provide a quotation for the following contract line item numbers (CLIN):1. 600 sleeping rooms for 3 nights, 2. Break-out rooms -- up to 20 rooms per day, for 3 days, 3. One 12 x 12 screen and one overhead projector for 3 days, 4. Thirteen wireless microphones for 3 days, 5. One 16 channel stereo mixer for 3 days, 6. One stereo equalizer for 3 days, 7. Two flipcharts with markers for 3 days, 8. One technician for 24 hours for 3 days, 9. Light refreshments -- coffee and tea, sodas, pastries, for mid morning and afternoon breaks. Hotel must be in the Chicago, Illinois area. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Evaluation/award will be made to that offeror whose quote meets the specifications listed above and is the most advantageous price to the government. All responsible sources who can provide the above requirements shall submit written quotations no later than Friday, March 3,2000, 12:00 noon eastern standard time.
