(808) 474-7316 MARKET SURVEY: The purpose of this notice is to
determine the feasibility of setting aside this project for small
business concerns. A solicitation is not available. Project A: The work
includes the repair of concrete cracks, spalls and leaking joints in
the walls of the drydock, and incidental related work. Project B: The
work includes the repairs to drydock outer caisson seat, replacement of
corroded steel angle corner guard/seat plates, repairs to concrete
spalls, and incidental related work. The base item work includes the
repair work from dock marker 497 up to and including the head quay wall
under Project "A" and Project "B". OPTION work includes the repair work
from the entrance of the drydock to and including dock marker 497 under
Project "A". Option to be exercised within 180 calendar days of Base
Item award. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
Completion time is 290 calendar days. THE SIC CODE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT
IS 1629 AND THE ANNUAL SIZE STANDARD IS $17.0 MILLION. Interested small

indicate the firm's experience in projects involving concrete
rehabilitation including waterfront concrete rehabilitation involving
above and below water repairs to vertical surface cracks, spalls,
and/or water leaking joints; above and below water concrete surface
preparation using hydroblasting and/or mechanical cleaning methods; and
underwater steel refurbishment using mechanical and/or underwater
welded connections. The firm shall provide information on applicable
projects indicating contract number, detailed project description,
dollar value, contracting officer/owner's point of contract and
telephone number. Information submitted shall be complete and accurate
as the Government will not request additional information to determine
a firm's qualifications. Qualification statements are due on 13 March
2000. A forthcoming synopsis will indicate whether the project is
