66 -- HIGH SPEED DIGITAL ACQUISITION STORAGE AND PLAYBACK SYSTEM SOL N00173-00-R-CR06 DUE 040400 POC Alan W. Crupi, Contract Specialist, Code 3220.CR, (202) 767-3595; F.Janilea Bays, Contracting Officer, Code 3220.JB This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number, N00173-00-R-CR06, is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15 and for Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) through DFARS Change Notice 20000210 (02/10/2000). The FAR and DFAR provisions and clauses cited herein are incorporated by reference into this solicitation. This acquisition is unrestricted. The small business size standard for this acquisition is 100 employees and the Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 5049. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001: High Speed Digital Acquisition Storage and Playback System, one (1) each. The new equipment must meet the following specifications: Greater than or equal to 1 GHz sampling rate, greater than or equal to 8 bit resolution, input bandwidth greater than 2 GHz, minimum of 8 Gbyte of solid state storage with memory bandwidth matching or exceeding the highest sampling rate, must have internal and external sampling clock with variable rate, must have 50 ohm input impedance for signal and sampling clock, transistor-transistor logic (TTL) level trigger output, time stamp capability to within 10ns, pre-trigger memory up to 4096 samples, segmented recording capability utilizing all solid state memory with user defined segment length, each segment must be triggered by either an external trigger source or user defined trigger level, Pentium or sun based embedded computer, 9 Gbyte of hard disk hosting the embedded computer operating system (OS), 50 Gbyte of removable hard disk for data storage, must have an upgrade path to a record and playback system at greater than or equal to 1 GHz rate, must be 19" rack mount Virtual Machine Environment (VME) system with height dimensions less than 24 inches, and must have control software including c-callable routines. A standard commercial warranty must be provided. Product literature must be provided. The required delivery schedule for CLIN 0001 is no later than six (6) months after contract award date.
