joan.butterfield@dtra.mil. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)
anticipates awarding a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to DME Corporation
of Orlando, Florida on a sole source basis for enhancements to
Radionuclide Aerosol Sampler/Analyzer (RASA) testbed systems leading to
Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO)
certification. The effort will also require the development and
installation of an enhanced RASA testbed system in Charlottesville,
Virginia. The developments will be explicitly tied to furthering the
U.S. Government's capability to monitor underground nuclear tests. DME
Corporation is uniquely qualified for this acquisition based on
expertise they have developed that will enhance development and
implementation of RASA system capability upgrades to meet CTBTO
certification requirements. RASA was developed by a team of researchers
at DME Corporation in conjunction with the Department of Energy's
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The anticipated award will
involve a five-month period of performance. Posted 03/01/00
